2020-2021 Adult Lessons Session II

Registration

  • Class begins January 17th. For those who have no or little cross-country skiing experience or have never had any instruction to learn the basic techniques. The goal is to get participants comfortable outside and on skis and familiar with the various beginner-level trails at Birch Hill.
  • Class begins January 11th. Intermediate cross-country skiing – for those wanting to focus on improving technique. Participants should have completed the beginning class at least once and feel comfortable and confident on varying terrain, especially hills.


NSCF Adult Lessons

The program is designed for anyone ages 15 & Up. All abilities are welcome.

Where: Birch Hill Recreation Area, 101 Wilderness Drive
When: Lessons start week of January 11th, 2021

Session II Class Schedule:

Beginning Classic Skiing:

12:00PM Tuesdays at UAF Ski Trails | Classes begin January 12th

 6:15PM Thursdays at Birch Hill | Classes begin January 14th

 2:00PM Sundays at Birch Hill | Classes begin January 17th

 Intermediate Classic Skiing:
6:15PM Mondays at Birch Hill | Classes begin January 11th

Intermediate Skate Skiing:
6:15PM Wednesdays at Birch Hill | Classes begin January 13th

Due to COVID-19 and CDC recommendations, class sizes are limited to just 10 participants. Registration is on a first-come, first served basis.

Cost**: $80 for a 5-week session (1 lesson per week).
**This does not include NSCF membership fee.

 *New this year! Current membership in the Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks is now required to participate in all NSCF-sanctioned programs.

To register for Adult Lessons, you must be logged in to the website and have a current membership with the NSCF. Student rates are available for those 18 and under. Click here for more information on becoming a member.
